Apple TV has renewed Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars for a third season, following the conclusion of the culinary docuseries’ second season.

The eight-episode renewal continues the series from executive producer Gordon Ramsay, with food and travel expert Jesse Burgess returning as host.

Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars follows chefs and their teams at leading restaurants around the world as they compete to earn, retain or improve their Michelin Star status. Filmed throughout the Michelin Guide’s annual assessment cycle, the series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the pressures of running a fine-dining restaurant and the personal sacrifices involved.

The renewal follows a successful run for the series, which earned a 100% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes for its first season.

Ramsay welcomed the renewal, saying:

“I’m absolutely delighted that Apple TV audiences and chefs from all around the world have truly embraced ‘Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars,’ becoming captivated by this incredible series that showcases the passion, sacrifice and teamwork that goes into delivering extraordinary plates of food, and the most perfect dining experiences at these very special restaurants, day after day. Taking viewers on the journey toward Michelin Stars is like climbing aboard an epic roller coaster. You’d better hold on tight, because it’s one hell of a ride!”

Burgess also expressed his enthusiasm for continuing the series, highlighting the personal journeys of the chefs and restaurant teams featured in each season:

“What I love most about making ‘Knife Edge’ is that, however much time I spend in restaurants around the world, I’m constantly surprised by the extraordinary people and stories we discover. Behind every restaurant is a very personal journey, and for the chefs we follow, a Michelin Star can represent years of sacrifice, obsession and an enormous amount of hard work. It’s a privilege to be able to tell these stories, and I’m absolutely thrilled that we get to do it all again for a third season.”

Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars Season 3 is slated to premiere in 2027 on Apple TV.
